Another time — The same person coming home by night from a journey, when near Ty yn y Llwyn [Monmouthshire],saw the resemblance of fire, the west side of the river, on his right hand; and looking towards the Mountain near the rock Tarren y Trwyn, on his left hand, all of a sudden, saw the fire near him on one side, and the appearance of a mastiff dog on the other side, at which he was exceedingly terrified.
